The boys all go to Boys Legion run by the Salvation Army once a week. Recently they were all given little kits of wood and wheels to create a car for a competition in early August.
Over the school holidays my husband has been working with the boys on turning their blocks of wood into wonderful vehicles. I missed taking photos at the earlier creative stages but here is the progress so far. This is only the first coat of paint. Lots more details to come.

My 12 year old's
Bugatti Veyron, looking very sleek. |

This is my 9 year old's General Lee.
She needed a little extra height for the rear. Keep watching for bright orange paint. |

This was a one off unusual creation. Don't know if it will go on a racetrack. |

This is my 6 year old's car. It will be painted with stripes later. |
Cool! What a great thing to do during the holidays!
