The beetroot I would blend up with a little sourcream and make into a dip. The roasted capsicum, tossed through some pasta with butter and bacon, maybe?

Give it a go. You will at least make space for new mystery freezer foods. lol

Best wishes
JenJen's Busy Dayshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01556286599575103565noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4354745791110027115.post-22176324620456023802012-04-23T21:49:59.494+10:002012-04-23T21:49:59.494+10:00I think I need to do a week like this. My freezer is full of bags of things like roasted capsicum and cooked beetroot that I couldn't bear to chuck away.

My boys would have left the green apples - they only eat red ones!scimumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14569679988593085564noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4354745791110027115.post-81947381814944438582012-04-23T16:47:43.317+10:002012-04-23T16:47:43.317+10:00Hi Jo,

Jackson, now 10, is quite good at helping feed it through the rollers.

I posted the recipe for Dutch Apple Baby this afternoon. I hope you come back and get to try it.Jen's Busy Dayshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01556286599575103565noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4354745791110027115.post-57085300574730852432012-04-23T16:46:05.391+10:002012-04-23T16:46:05.391+10:00My kids won't eat kidney beans on their own so...My kids won't eat kidney beans on their own so I use 500g mince with Mexican seasoning and then add a tin of kidney beans which I cook long enough to soften. I try to sneak a grated carrot in. Then I mash as many of the beans as I feel I have to so the kids can't easily pick them out. I serve this mince mixture on the side of corn chips that have been warmed in the oven with melted cheese on top. Those of us with more mature tastes add fresh salsa and avocado while the littles have some sour cream.

And most of my lumps are 500g but the chicken might be 650g so it was easier to write lump. lolJen's Busy Dayshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01556286599575103565noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4354745791110027115.post-54838178401069483372012-04-23T15:33:07.754+10:002012-04-23T15:33:07.754+10:00Hi jen, good to see how you and yours are getting ...Hi jen, good to see how you and yours are getting on. Love reading other people's menus. Very impressed that you even contemplated making pasta, and that you ever eat something other than Vegemite toast for breakfast. Would love to hear more about those Dutch apple babies?Johttp://www.alltheblueday.blogspot.com.aunoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4354745791110027115.post-224688936134477802012-04-23T06:42:17.284+10:002012-04-23T06:42:17.284+10:00Would love to know how you make nachos... first ti...Would love to know how you make nachos... first time I've seen mince listed for nachos!?
Love how you have 'lumps' of meat i.e. chicken/mince etc LOLMrs Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10414229490828494058noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4354745791110027115.post-45456064684405866572012-04-22T17:31:04.453+10:002012-04-22T17:31:04.453+10:00Looks like a great plan Jen.
